Terms of Service

1. What Fond is — and is not

Fond is a record-keeping tool. It stores an encrypted picture of money you keep elsewhere — bank accounts, wallets, cash. Fond is not a bank, not a payment service, not a custodian and not an investment platform: it never holds, moves or has access to your money. Nothing in the Service is financial, tax or legal advice; figures the Service shows (totals, conversions, projections) are informational and depend on the accuracy of what you record and on third-party exchange rates.

2. Who may use Fond

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. You are responsible for the account you sign in with (Telegram, Google or Apple) and for the devices you use Fond on.

3. Encryption keys and the recovery key

Amounts in Fond are end-to-end encrypted with keys generated on your device. We never receive your master key. When you start, the app gives you a recovery key — it is the only way to restore access on a new device or after signing out.

If you lose access to your devices and your recovery key, your encrypted data cannot be recovered — by you, by us, or by anyone. You accept that this is a designed property of the Service, not a defect, and that we are not liable for data made unreadable by a lost key.

4. Your content

Your records remain yours. You grant us only the licence needed to operate the Service: storing your data (encrypted where the product encrypts it), processing the readable parts to provide features you use (reminders, the assistant, shared items), and making backups. We claim no other rights to it.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not use the Service for anything unlawful, or to store content you have no right to store.
• Do not probe, overload, disrupt or circumvent the Service’s security or rate limits.
• Do not access the Service by automated means other than its intended interfaces.
• Do not abuse free-tier quotas, referral rewards or promotional discounts.

6. The assistant

The bot’s AI filing is best-effort: it can misread a message, an amount or a category. Verify what it records. Free usage is subject to fair-use quotas that may change; some assistant features (for example voice messages) are part of Fond Pro.

7. Fond Pro

Fond Pro is a paid subscription billed through Telegram Stars for the period shown at purchase. It renews according to the plan you choose and can be cancelled any time — cancellation stops future renewals and Pro remains active until the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled per the payment platform’s (Telegram’s) rules. We may change Pro pricing or contents with notice; changes apply from the next billing period.

8. Sharing

If you share a vault, goal or debt, its members see its contents, including amounts, and keep them if you later leave. Share only with people you trust; we are not responsible for what members of your shared items do with what they can see.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep Fond available and your data safe, but the Service is provided without uptime guarantees. We may add, change or retire features; for material removals we will give reasonable notice in the app or via the bot.

10. Termination

You can stop using Fond at any time and delete your data in Settings (“Wipe everything”). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the Service, and will state the reason unless legally prevented.

11. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you paid for Fond Pro in the 12 months before the claim (or zero if you paid nothing). Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be announced in the app or via the bot before taking effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
